Bonding day 14 of 15
ONLY ONE MORE DAY OF BONDING, ONLY ONE MORE DAY OF BONDING............
Lincoln gave us a gift today. . . our first dirty diaper. I am not sure if we were allowed to change the diaper or not. Our translator was not with us so I had no way of asking. Since he was stinking up the whole play room we decided we would give it a try. I tried to get Eric to do it but he wouldn’t. But he did watch so he could learn how for next time. He wiggles all around when we change his clothes so I was a little nervous what diaper changing was going to be like. Thankfully he laid still and let me do it. I am sure he was happy to have it done. Beyond this excitement our morning visit was great. He was in a really good mood today. He does seem to be feeling much better but not perfect yet. Occasionally we get a few coughs out of him but his nose is not as bad as it was before. The three of us actually sat and played for almost the whole two hour visit. He did crawl around a little bit but was very content just hanging out on the blanket and playing with his toys. It was really nice to just sit and play.
In between visits we stayed at the apartment. We watched our last Chuck episode while eating Kaz style Ramen Noodles.
Our afternoon visit was good; Lincoln was still pretty calm and content with just playing on the floor. Eric did take him on a couple flights around the room. He is starting to become more vocal. He is doing great making weird noises or sounds. He tries to copy what ever noise you make except Dada and Mama. He isn’t into talking yet just making noises. We are both looking forward to the day he actually says something.
After visiting with Lincoln we went to the Texho Dom, Eric had to return something he bought a couple days ago and Joel wanted to see the store. Then we went to the Bowling Alley for pizza, beer and bowling. Personally I think the pizza at the business center is much better but this was pretty good. It was also cheaper which was a bonus. A half liter draft beer was only 200 tenge. This is by far the cheapest we have found. Although the same size beer in a bottle at the super market is only 120 tenge. We bowled a couple games then Biyanna, Joel & Gen had to leave. Ceric can only drive us till 8pm then we would need to take a taxi. Joel & Gen are not comfortable taking a taxi so they left with Biyanna. Eric and I stayed for about an hour longer and Eric bowled some more and I just watched. The bowling alley is across the street from our apartment so when we were done we just walked back to the apartment. It was a really fun night we will have to go back and do that again.

Holy Cow - only one day of bonding left? Didn't you just get there? Didn't I just meet you at the Ymit babyhouse? Boy how time flies! You are nearing your waiting period and Z and I are now home safe and sound in Minnesota. Crazy how life works out!

Hey!
I've been quite a bit behind on reading your blog, so almost hit the floor when I logged in to look for updates. Glad to hear that all is going great, and am loving the photos --- he is SO cute.
Take care!

Yay - another milestone nearly complete. I do have to remark on how handsome Lincoln is. He's such a cutie!
Just the other day, I was wondering about your diaper change experiences. I know you say they are strict about changing his clothes, so I was wondering about his diaper. I am glad to hear you made it through his first poopy diaper. Just rest assured there will be plenty more for Eric to change.
I am also glad to hear that you have getting to have some good times over there to share with Lincoln when he gets older. I am sure he will realy appreciate it.
