We just had one visit with Lincoln today since it was Sunday. He was in a great mood for the most part today. He and I played a lot together. He loves it when I crawl around the room after him. He stops and I tickle him, he laughs and crawls on. This usually lasts for 5 or 10 minutes before he decides to just sit and play with some toys. Lincoln acted like he was extra hungry today so we feed him some cheerios along with his fruit puree. He seemed to be satisfied after that. Unfortunately we did not have a translator today so I was not able to ask if he ate breakfast or not. Toward the end of our visit, Eric put Lincoln in the walker. I sat down on the floor and was moving the walker around, back and forth and Lincoln just laughed and laughed. We can’t wait to get him home so everyone can meet him and hear his cute little giggles.

After our visit today we made a quick stop at an outdoor market in the old part of the city. Joel and Eric wanted to buy Dombras to take home. Apparently this was the only place to go to buy them. They sell souvenir type ones but they wanted the real ones. We did get one not sure how great of quality it is but we own it now. We are hoping once we get to Almaty that we will be able to ship it the rest of the way home. Just getting it to Almaty should be interesting. The last thing we needed was one more thing to carry on the plane.
After the market we just came back to our apartment but we did make one more super quick stop at the outside market near Karla & Ben's place. Eric ran in and picked us up a couple camca's for lunch. A camca is along the lines of a croissant. You can get them filled with beef, chicken or cheese. I did want to go to the super and flea markets near our apartment today but it is just too cold to be spending much time outside. This afternoon we have been taking it easy. Eric took a nap for a couple hours and I have been working on the blog and getting caught up on some emails and such. This evening we were invited over to Karla and Ben’s for dinner. Eric went over but I am so exhausted so I am staying home. I can’t believe I turned down a home made meal! That should prove just how tired I am.

LIncoln's smile is so contageous I caught it half way around the world!
The bookworm here read last night that the game you're playing with Lincoln is really good for him and helps him with development and bonding. Way to go!
Yes, we want to purchase a dombra too. Please let us know what you find out when you get to Almaty.
That picture of Lincoln laughing is priceless! And what a funny story about your evening at the "club." Watch out for those Kazakh women!
By the way, I just made my blog private, so let me know if you'd like an invite. (regina (at) ruopoli (dot) com) We expect to be in Aqtobe in May!
