First day to our 15 day count down till GOTCHA day. Just 14 more to go.
Checking out the cheerio he managed to get into his hand.

Licking it off his hand.

Wow what is that?? We turned the overhead lights on in the playroom today because we were having a rainy/snowy cloudy day and it was dark in the room. Lincoln is totally amazed with the lights. We thought he might give himself whiplash looking up then down then up then down.

Look at me I am standing, again!!

Having a scream because he loves being almost naked.
Both of our visits today were wonderful. Lincoln was in a great mood through out both of our visits. We played together, he shared many giggles today. We did change his outfit this morning. I have no idea how I am going to change him by myself. Usually Eric picks him up in the air and I pull his pants on from that position. To put his shirt on one person holds him in place while the other person actually puts the shirt on. It is such a challenge. We do only change him once every few days so I guess once we are doing it a couple times a day, all 3 of us will get better at it. He sat happily and played with Gabriel and Gaia each for awhile today. Gaia can crawl too so watching the two of them play together is really sweet. Today Lincoln tossed a toy and as it rolled away, they both took off to retrieve it. Gaia is 7 weeks older than Lincoln but she is smaller so she is a little slower. Even though Lincoln got there first he was nice and ended up giving it to her anyway. We have been working very hard on teaching him to share toys. We had him practice feeding himself cheerios again. He is getting better at it but we still have some practicing to do. He does not understand how to pick it up with a couple fingers and hold it with a couple fingers all the way to his mouth. He pretty much grabs at it till he gets it in his fist then he licks it off the palm of his hand. The best part is instead of getting frustrated he sits there, and patiently tries to do it over and over again till he finally manages. He was showing off his new standing skills again today and we practice his walking a little bit more. He mostly just wanted to play with us and the other kids today.
Gaia following Lincoln

This is Gaia she turned one year old this past Monday. She will be moving to France to live with her new Mommy soon.

This is Alexander (aka Sasha) he was born 12 days earlier than Lincoln. He will be moving to Belgium to live with his new Mommy.
We didn’t do much in between visits today. We did go to the super market, did some laundry, ate lunch and watched a couple of our tv program recordings we brought with us. Nothing too exciting, we are both tired today from our big day yesterday. This evening we are just hanging out here at the apartment. We ate some leftovers from last night dinner and then had some pasta to fill us up. We wished we had ordered an extra meal last night and brought it home for tonight. But of course, we didn’t think about that till today.

March 19th can not come soon enough that's for sure! Please give Lincoln a big kiss from me and Daghan. We are just SO HAPPY that this process is close to an end for the both of you and you can start your lives together as a family!
Can't wait to meet him and give him a kiss myself! XOXOXOXO
Kami and Eric - so happy to hear that you were approved and you just have a few weeks left until you can bring Lincoln with you. We have enjoyed following the blog, hearing all that you've been through and seeing how Lincoln and your love has grown. Such a nice family - can't wait to see you all!

Yay, the countdown begins (though it sounds like you're having such a good time there you might not want to leave!). I'm sure that Lincoln will master the cheerio before you leave. He is a fast learner!
P.S. It still blows my mind when I think about how fate determines which of these children will grow up speaking English and eating hot dogs in America, or speaking French and eating croissants in France, or speaking Flemish and eating ... hmmm what do kids eat in Belgium?
