We were trying to take a picture of his new outfit but he refused to put his cup down. He must have realized it matched so he could hold it.

"bunny ears"

Can I have....

that camera strap to chew on? Thank you.
Waiting for our court hearing – day 9
WooHoo our pre-court proceeding went smoothly today. There should not be any hitches at our actual court hearing which is at 10:00am on Tuesday, March 4th. We were finally able to breathe a huge sigh of relief today.
We had a fun visit this morning with
Lincoln.
He was in a really good mood and full of smiles.
He got a brand new outfit today.
Its official he looks adorable in anything. Again this morning he was all over the playroom.
He is definitely a morning person.
Much more bubbly and alert in the morning. Eric and I on the other hand are more night people.
Hmm someone is going to have to change their ways. In the playroom, all the families put down a blanket with their toys and such.
Well,
Lincoln starts out this morning on our blanket then crawls over to Gen, Joel & Gabe. He hangs out a bit, drools all over their toys, has a chat with them then moves on to the next blanket.
He went clear across the room this morning stopping at each family’s blanket doing the same thing.
It was too funny.
He is very social.
For snack this morning we gave him a jar mixture of wild berries and apples.
He liked it but did not end up finishing the whole jar. He may have just been too full from his breakfast.
In between breaks today we went to the Mosque Mall for lunch at the café. Then we stopped at the super market on our way back to the apartment. We needed to mainly get juice for Lincoln. We have been searching for huggies brand wipes since we got here and finally found them today at the convenient store in the mall. They smell much better than the Pampers brand and they were cheaper. I am not sure what the Pampers wipes smell like in the states but here they smell like very strong baby powder.
Our afternoon visit was good. Lincoln was still in a great mood. His cheeks were really rosey today so we asked why that might be and they told us that he has been eating too sweet of foods. I guess two days of berries is too much for him. Tomorrow we will have to go back to a banana mixture or something and only give him the berries every few days. Lincoln was all about walking this afternoon. He must really like his new boots. He kept crawling over to different people then he would take them on a walk around the playroom. He would then get down crawl to another person till they got up and walked him around the room. The whole time he is doing this he is talking and screeching on top of his lungs with joy. It was cute but he was startling some of the other little ones with his screams of joy. We are hoping he finds no reason to do that when we are the plane coming home. Aina, our translator, took Lincoln for a walk then she showed him the walker and showed him how he could walk pushing the walker around the room. Eric and I were both amazed. Aina says to us “you can’t be afraid of him falling.” Yes, we have probably been “babying” him because we don’t want him to fall down and get hurt. We still have to go court!!! It was awesome to see him pushing that walker and walking with it. She wasn’t helping him at all but she did stay with him in case he fell down. We do let him walk along the couch or chairs but neither of us were ready for him to just take off pushing the toy across the floor. We were amazed to say the least. The visits are starting to go by too quickly. A Nanny we had never seen before came in this afternoon to get him. We had to ask our translator if it was okay if this woman took him from us. She kind of laughed at us but we didn’t know who this lady was. Lincoln acted like he knew her but he is so social we don’t know if he is just being friendly or if he does really know someone. It is hard enough to hand him off at the end of a visit but today when we had to give him to someone we had never seen before it really made us both have this huge lump in our stomach. We must have had strange looks on our faces because after they too him Aina says to me ‘It is okay she works here.” I was just thinking to myself “No, it is not okay that all these people keep taking him from me.” A couple more weeks, a couple more weeks then no one will take him from us. I have to keep reminding myself of this. We both have to keep saying this to ourselves. Eric feels the same way but you know he is a man and trying to be the strong one, here.
This evening the gang went to the bowling alley for pizza and beer. Eric really wanted to bowl but by the time we chatted, drank and ate our pizza our curfew came and it was time for us all to head home. Yes all of us grown adults have an 8pm curfew. It does not matter that tomorrow is Saturday; we still have our two scheduled visits with our children. Our visits with our children are more important than anything in the world to us right now.
