Last day in Aktobe

Having toast for the first time.

Last lunch in our apartment here in Aktobe. I can not wait to get home and have a high chair. Notice the stand in the background, we used duct tape for baby proofing. It worked like a charm.

He loves his Who Love Baby, book. We think he is trying to remember everyones faces getting himself prepared for his first meeting.

Teddy Bear lighter snowsuit. The weather in Almaty is nicer than here so tomorrow Linc is going to wear this instead of his heavy one that he hates.

WOW we had a good day but really exhausting. We are almost all packed up; we just got Lincoln down for the night and are having our dinner. We both are exhausted; we hope Lincoln sleeps through the night. He usually does.

Lincoln was a little out of sorts today. Not sure if it is because he doesn’t feel well or if he was fearing what is happening now since we spent a great deal of our day packing up. We accumulated more stuff here in this apartment than I had thought. We should be a sight in the airport with our excessive luggage and baby on board. We only practiced with our hands free baby carrier a couple times and it wasn’t overly successful.

Lincoln did a few exciting things today:

  1. Said the word “yeah” Eric and I both heard it. No Mama yet. Still I only get Mmmm

  1. When I ask “How big is Lincoln?” he holds his arms up straight over his head.

  1. He now understands how to roll the ball back to me. He still seems to prefer that we roll it and we both crawl after it.

  1. Several times this morning he took one step and then lost his balance on the second step. So we are making a little more progress with his walking.

We had lots of company today. Karla and Ben stopped over for lunch. Thank you so much for visiting and bringing lunch with you. We will miss you both and are so happy we met you here. Have fun with Erlan he is such a cutie. We look forward to coming to Missouri one day soon. Agnes stopped over this evening for a final good bye. Again it was fantastic to meet you. We very much enjoyed all the time we were able to spend together. . I will miss Sasha’s adorable little laugh. Hopefully one day soon we can make it over to Belgium to visit. To all of you, please take care and enjoy the rest of your time in Aktobe soon you will break your kids free from the orphanage and the time of your life will officially begin.

To our family and friends we plan to have internet access in Almaty but if you don’t hear from us, don’t worry, we will be fine. I promise to get on and update the blog as quick as I can.

I'm sure Licoln will do just fine traveling to Almaty and adjusting to his "new home" there. It won't be long and you all will be home in NH where you all can finanlly get settled in and enjoy your family in the comfort of your own home.
Lincoln always looks so happy and content.
Please give him hugs and kisses from us. Can't wait to see you.
Love, Kelly and family
