This is the position he fell asleep in...Eric looks like he is about to drop him. So I helped Eric move him up to his shoulder.

Eric is not actually sleeping but he was day dreaming about wishing he could just fall asleep with him.

Eric says to me while holding him ..."Now I know why some people "spoil" their kids by holding them while they are sleeping." He goes on to say "This feels so nice to have him trust me enough to fall asleep in my arms." It was a huge Daddy Moment today.

Prior to his nap this morning he had fun chewing on the bubbles container.

Since it is Sunday we only had our morning visit with
Lincoln today. He was in a pretty good mood for the first hour.
Playing and practicing his walking.
After we feed him his jar of food he started to get really sleepy.
He ended up falling asleep in Eric’s arm and slept for about 30 minutes. He gets really super cranky then you just have to walk him around and he falls asleep pretty easily.
I would imagine if we had a crib to put him in when he gets really cranky he would just fall asleep on his own.
I hope at least.
Once he woke up we only had about 10 more minutes left to our visit. But he did wake up nice and happy, which made us very happy.
I was a little nervous about how long he would sleep because I did not want him to miss his noon feeding.
We spent the afternoon at the indoor/outdoor market on the other side of town. We had lunch then shopped around. For lunch we had crepes at the third floor café. They are super delicious. We bought a souvenir to give to Lincoln when he is older. We also bought an outfit that we plan to give to baby room # 4 at the baby house in exchange for the outfit that Lincoln was wearing the first day that we meet him. We are not 100% sure if they will do this or not but we are hoping. The outfit we bought to trade is actually pink so we really don’t have a need for it if they tell us no. We wanted to buy a toy for him to walk behind pushing but they were all very expensive so we didn’t end up getting him one.
We got back to our apartment around 5pm and we then went over to the Mosque Mall. The mall is supposed to be open till 7pm but when we got over there it was all ready closed. There must have been something going on or something wrong because many locals were hanging out waiting for them to open again. We just left and walked down to the Texho Dom instead. We bought two baby blankets. One for Lincoln and one for the little girl baby in our playroom that is turning one year old tomorrow. Bernadette from France is adopting her. Lincoln probably did not need another blanket but it was really nice and I want to have a few things for him from here. We then walked down to the 24 hour super market. We have been in our apartment now for 18 days and just found out yesterday that this market existed. It is much bigger and nicer than the one we had been shopping at so we are happy to have found it. They have a nice size produce section which we are thrilled to have access to because the other market didn’t have produce. In the store we turn around and there is Agnes (Belgium) doing her shopping. It is so strange to run into someone you know here when we only know maybe a dozen people in the whole city.
This evening we are not doing much but hanging out and laundry. We are both exhausted so think we will be going to bed early. We must have gotten too much sun today walking around the outdoor market. We did actually do a lot of walking today. I really wish I would have brought my pedometer. We walk all the time and it would be interesting to know how far we are actually going each day.

Yay for a Daddy moment! Daddy's need those too - and lots of them!
It sounds like you are getting to know Lincoln's personality and habits even in just a few hours of visiting daily. That'll really come in handy when you get custody.
You are so right, it is such a wonderful sign of trust when a baby feels safe enough to fall asleep in your arms, what a wonderful daddy moment! :)

To feel the soft breath of a baby breathing while laying on your chest is such a relaxing feeling.
When you get him home to a crib, you will find yourself sneaking in to have a peak and put your hand on his back just to feel him breath.
I am glad you are sharing all of your "moments" with us.
