As I start this it is 6:45am and Lincoln has been asleep pretty much since 11pm last night. I am happily shocked by this. I hope this means he won't have jet lag and we can easily adjust him to a new schedule. Eric is asleep too. As for myself, I have been up since 4 am. I think I just have too much on my mind to be sleeping right now. I have been using my early morning bonding with Osito. He and I have been cuddling and reuniting. I think he now forgives me for leaving him for two months. Sebastian and Vero are fine. They have acted like nothing has changed other than this little kid crawling around that all 3 of them are sitting back and just watching for now. Sebastian got a little too close once all ready and got his tail pulled. :)
Our flights wow...that is a huge story which I will catch you all up on the little details at another time. First flight of the trip Lincoln certainly tested out our parenting skills. If you ever find yourself traveling in Europe fly KLM, they are awesome!! Our layover in Amsterdam was a much needed break for the 3 of us. Our last flight was almost heaven.
Bottom line we are home and so thankful to be!

WELCOME HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to hear about the trip. You must be so happy! It sounds like Lincoln may adjust just fine if he slept the night last night! That was great! Just keep him up today as much as possible other than a couple naps and he should be fine. Seems he adjusts to everything so easily! I remember finally getting all 4 of my kids home after they were born and how great if felt. I'm sure you must feel that same way! What a wonderful feeling! Love ya, Terri and family
Welcome Home! Happy to have you safe and sound - can't wait to hear all the details - but for now, just sleep, sleep, sleep! love, mom and dad

Welcome home to the Dykes family! Now you can start the real journey! Eric and Kami welcome to parenthood. It is the most rewarding "job" you will ever have. Lincoln don't worry they will get the hang of the whole parent thing (hehe).

I bet it all seems like a strange dream now, except for the fact that you have this amazing little child now. What a wonderful story you've had, and now the rest of your book begins. :-)

Welcome home! Great that Lincoln is sleeping for a whole night. Of course he's probably pretty exhausted from the trip. And good luck with the kitties! Can't wait to hear more about the trip and the adjustment at home.
Hi Guys,
It was great to meet up with you in Almaty (we should do it again some time?).
Glad to hear you made it home in one piece.
All the best
Sara and Julian
WELCOME HOME!!!!!!!!!!!! Yahoo, what a fun post to read. I can't believe that you are back home with little Lincoln in tow. What an adventure hu! Do you feel like I do, that you can't truly believe that you just were in Kaz for 2 months and that you truly found your perfect child? I totally can't believe what we did! It is so crazy amazing really!
I can't wait to read about your flights home and watch Lincoln grow.
PS - Z still has her spots! :)
