BUMP Again. . .

This morning at 10:12 we got yet another email from our adoption agency saying that the two POAs that we mailed to them this week were not correct. The state department put the wrong cover page on them so we had to do them again. Thankfully, Eric was home today so we were able to take them down and get them notarized then I drove back up to Concord to have them apostilled with the correct form. They were nice enough not to charge us again for the cover pages since it was their error. I wish the post office was nice enough not to charge us another $16.25 in postage but they were not. Two new docs are off in the mail once again.

That is the most frustrating part - re-doing paperwork! Like it wasn't a pain the first place. We had to get our health doc'ts re-done 4 times before the Doc got them right!!!

P.S. Thanks for the invite. I was afraid that we'd lost ya!

Hi Kami,

Thank you for the invite!!

Just when you think that the next time you hear from the agency, it will be the news that we have been waiting for, they ask you for more paperwork! The good news is that in just a few short months, we will forget all about these frustrating times! I know that for you (and us), that doesn't seem possible, but thats what I keep hearing from so many others.

Patti was notified that she had jury duty starting on February 4th. She contacted Genia to see if she had any update on our travel plans and was told that they hope to have the more information next week. It's probably just as well to get jury duty out of the way before we bring our baby home.

Good luck and thanks again for the invite!

Hi Kami & Eric,

Goll Darn it, I sure wish that they would hurry up on your darn LOI! I do know that they are working on it here in Aqtobe though, I have heard this. :) I am really hopeful that soon you will get good news on your travel.

As for the 5 families that are here in Aqtobe now, all 5 of us had success at court!! Good news!!

Hope to see that your LOI comes soon. Please send me a personal email when it does. :) chsimon@izoom.net

Thank-you for the invite. :)

Oh, what a pain to have to re-do & re-do doc's. I was always frustrated at the people who didn't seem to get how important it was to be very neat, have everything look like the example my agency sent along.

I hope you get your LOI soon!!

Thanks so much for the blog invitation, Kami and Eric! I can't wait for all of us to get our invitation to travel. The preparation has been challenging, but the waiting is a killer. I'm really happy that you are going to Aktobe, too, and I look forward to sharing this wonderful experience with you!
